Week 5 Weekly Garden Theme: SOIL

in #gardening3 months ago

Come on, slugs and butterflies, it's time to support your garden community and YOUR Hive by joining in on the challenge! If you've been laying back watching everyone else dig, plant and harvest, well, it's time to share YOUR garden related ideas, experiences and stories. It's what makes this community awesome and helps the platform grow.

This Week's Theme: SOIL

Here's a few ideas - don't forget you aren't limited to these at all - they are simply fertilizer for your thoughts.

And if you are stuck, you can write on the previous week's themes - TASTY HARVEST, I HAVE FAR TOO MANY, WEEDS or THYME FOR HERBS.

Soil is everything - bad soil results in bad harvests and often bad health. What are your experiences with soil?

  • Have you read an influential book or listened to a podcast on soil? What did you learn?
  • Do a soil test on your garden soil and share what you learn.
  • How have you improved your soil? Tell us about the journey.
  • What plants do you add to improve the soil?
  • What bugs live in your soil?

*Remember it's important to get involved with community challenges to support your fellow members, and to fertilize the broader HIVE garden, which benefits us all. We will be reblogging and upvoting what we can and dropping random tips to reward super posts!

New prompts come out every SATURDAY you have the entire week to write. If you miss the deadline, don't worry - you can post whenever you like on past week's themes.

Some guidelines

  • Please no AI - let's stick to real gardens for this challenge.
  • Posts should be a minimum of 300 words to be considered for attention
  • Don't overload on images, especially if very similar. Think less is more.
  • No plagiarism
