I have a visitor. Take a look.

in #gardening7 years ago

The main reason why I wanted to start a flower garden was because of what I had been reading about our bees, I wanted a safe place for them to come and do there work plus when there tired I have sugar water pots around for them to drink.

I was up early today, way to hot too stay in bed so went and sat outside when I noticed we had a visitor.

He had a good time flying from one flower to another spending a little time on each flower. He was quite a big bee, I sat there scared stiff as I hate the buzzing but thankfully he didn't bother with me and he didn't need a drink from my little pots.

I save the lids from the milk plastic bottles or large water bottles I then add a little sugar and water they lay them out fresh every day. I have given 1 bee a drink so far.

WE HAVE TO LOOK AFTER OUR BEES

Thank you son-of-satire

Very lovely

Thank you :)

It's a big concern with the drop in numbers of bees we need more people to do this so they can thrive again

Very true :)

Thank you for the beautiful pics. I envy you the bright flowers and the pollinators. I'll follow you for more great pics. Any gardening advice? upvoted

Thank you. I am loving the colours and fragrance :)

very nice.
At the time the bees are taking the honey produced by the flowers, no part of the bee's body loads the pollen part of the flower. The pollination process occurs when the bee moves and sucks other similar honey binds, the pollen attached to the mantle will attach to the flower stalk of the flower that was visited by accident. The process of pollination with bee intermediates is called entomogamy, thats what they told me..@mahdie

Thank you for that, its interesting just to sit and watch them work :)

Very nice post, I love bees and I suggest that you build a bee hotel so the poor lonely bees can have a home near your wonderful garden

I am thinking of adding one for next year but scared of bees so a bit wary :)

Well I have seen bees in my bee hotel and they have never attacked me.

That's good. I've seen a little bee hotel that I could try first then later go bigger :)

Hello visitor (awe), did you know I love flowers? I know, weird right! No kidding, yah I do. They color up my world. I want to introduce you to my other friends on steemit, so I resteemed. Hope you don't mind 😉?

No I don't, I carry bee 🐝 🐝 where ever I go, so you better watch out but I don't sting.

That is fine I hope they like flowers too. :)

Sure they do. OK adios amigo Hehe!!!

Yes, bees need of us as much as we do from them. Your garden has paid you back in beauty and little yellow visitors which help your garden bloom. Lovely!

Thank you. I'm hoping to buy a small bee home for next year :)

You should raise money for this!!!!! As an environmental cause!!! So much yes!

I wouldn't know where to start
