About Slovenia, weather and planting

Slovenia is a small country in the North hemisphere in 46 degrees N of latitude (like Toronto in Canada), in Europe. The neighbour country is in the North Austria in South Croatia in West Italy and in the East Hungary. Is so much diversity in this country. In North is Alps in West Adriatic Sea. In the most of country is Kras (Karst). Here is Mediterranean weather, land weather, alps weather.

About weather

There was a small place where temperature record is more than -36 degrees Celsius in the winter, but in the summer is record in other place +40,8 degrees Celsius. But in our country are growing sezon relative short, so we must prepare plant for that.

About planting

Like I say is growing sezon relative short and we must plant fast growing plants, plants who sprout in low temperatures, use green houses or saw seeds in the pods and then where is right temperature plant outside.
Plants that we saw in the pods are peppers, tomatoes, eggplants and maybe some more that I don't remember in this moment. But if we want consume more vegetables we can plant zucchini, beans, carrots and other vegetables.
There are some plants that we can plant in autumn like winter onion and garlic. There are pea that we can plant soon (I try this year plat in January a few days before snowing and we see if came out).
In the packe of seeds in back side is in our country the best temperature for sprout, and what is more than 15 degrees Celsius we plant in the pots or greenhouses, because if we wait for right temperature we lost the most of growing sezon.
And we plant potato in the soil in May, because temperature of soil is enough for sprout.
