Last year i was working on a project called window farming. The idea came from New York and allows people without a balcony
or a garden to grow vegetables, salad and herbals. All you need are plastic bottles, a small pump and a tube and some wire or chain. It works like a greenhouse, so it is possible to grow your own food at your window all year around. But i would reccommend to add some light in the winter. A Fertilizer is also very important. The best way is to connect an Aquarium with
your system, so you can be shure its organic. If you use liquid Fertilizer, be careful that you do not have mini monsanto at your window. So to go the organic way is possible and the best one, if you want to eat your homegrown veggies.

As you can see on the picture, this was my window farm.
