Never throw away your green onion!

This is a bit of unusual post for me, but I'm going to start posting about my gardening and plants more!

Green onion are a delicious part of many meals. They can be used in anything from sweet potato burgers to vermicelli. Their versatility and deliciousness make them a common grocery item. Most people use them in their meal and then discard them; however there is a better way! :)

After you use the top of the green onion, you can put the roots in a cup of water to grow! As long as you leave about an inch above the roots, the plant will survive and actually thrive! :) in just a couple of days there will be a significant amount of growth. By simply keeping your green onion in a small glass of water you will not have to buy another green onion for a long time!
