Mulberries

Spring has arrived at the beginning of the month but I'm late as usual and have not done much in the garden. But Nature did her job and most plants are still growing nicely. The ever-bearing mulberry trees are giving a lot of fruits and we've been eating them several times already. Here are the two trees that I've been keeping at small size in grow bags.

In autumn, I cut some of its branches and put them in a pot, they have rooted and grown well and have even started to give fruits while being that small. Those are now listed for sale on local groups.

As I was cleaning out the backyard, the neighbour at the back asked me if I wanted a bush of lemongrass because she is throwing hers away as she does not have the opportunity to use them. I already have lemongrass but I wouldn't mind some more.

Have you ever seen lemongrass seeds? I have not and this is my first time. Along with the roots she also gave me a bunch of leaves with seeds.

The dwarf Tahitian lime tree is going mad as usual, flowers are covering it while it is still bearing couple of fruits from the last season.

My Comfrey mother plant has awoken from the long winter sleep and the Blueberry burst is also thriving.

Last autumn, my wife has also propagated some Aloe Vera and they are now ready to be sold locally.

I don’t think you can eat the seeds tho 😂. More for propagation.

Last year the Mulberry gave heaps more fruit, enough for us to make couple of batches of jam.

Nice, thanks for sharing your garden with us!

Yum. I love (and miss) eating mulberries.

The Mulberry tree is one of the plants that brings me back a lot of great childhood memories.
