Mine had brand new soil and an early summer of cool then hot then wet then hot then wet so they seemed to like that. Took them long enough to start to get red but that is probably just frost starting to get them.
Can't wait to test them out.

Thanks for the tips. Hopefully, mine start turning as the weather is finally supposed to cool down to below 20 at nights here.
