Indian traditional art forms always excite me. So, this time I tried my hands on Pichwai art.
Pichwai art is an Indian art form. Originated in the town of Nathdwara near Udaipur, Rajasthan. It is one of the oldest art forms of India.
Pichwai art depicts tales from the life of Lord Krishna. Pichwai paintings are mainly done on cloth and with rich and organic colors. Other subjects found in Pichwai paintings are Radha, Gopis, cows, and lotuses.
This was my first time with Pichwai art and I am very fond of flowers. So, I started it with lotuses on watercolor paper with acrylic colors.
Mostly I prefer to use watercolor paper for every color because of its quality and thickness.
Hope you liked this art. See you in the next post.
Till then stay happy and connected.
