Biking to The Farm

in #gems5 years ago (edited)

There is not much entertainment in the village where I live. There is not much thing to do. Or it's just me not yet finding things to do. After all, it's been 20 years since I left the village. So, in the afternoon we (my kids and me) went biking to the farm which belongs to my parents to keep my kids entertained.

I am concerned about that they don't have friends in the village yet. I am concerned that they don't have things to do. The entertainment places, the town park is closed. So, biking to the farm is so far the best option we have.

So around 4 PM yesterday afternoon, we went riding bikes to the farm. This would keep them occupied and not thinking about friends or entertainments.

There was not so much traffic in the road. So, it was easy for my kids to ride their bikes. In the capital of Bali, Denpasar, where I lived, there were 'million of motor bikes' on the street. Biking there would surely make them nervous.

Along the road, there were a lot of rice fields. These fields had their rice plants been harvested a while ago. It would look much nicer when there were rice plants growing on it. Maybe next time.

Finally after biking for twenty minutes or so, we arrived in the farm. When in the farm, they just spent biking around for few minutes. Then I took them walking along some rice field path and looking at birds or trying to catch grasshoppers or butterflies.

When going home we took some moringa leaves, and abanana flower. These were for soup or curry. It's not decided yet on the time this post is written.

Hello, thanks for dropping by. We have several plants on the farm. The papaya is the small size.

Well done! If you can avoid driving, do it! Mother Nature thanks you! 🤗

Excellent shots!

Aha, the road is too small for driving a car.😁 Thanks so much.

Hey Putu! @ekavieka told me that you live in Bali so I came to your blog to check it out. Great post you wrote here. It's so refreshing to see people who live in the same island as I do creating content here. I would love to meet you!

I live in Bali too and would love to have a meetup with all the Hivians living in Bali. Would be cool, right?! Do you know any other Hivians here? If so, I can try to organize a meetup when this social distancing is finished! Maybe we can even get new people to join Hive.

Hi Frank, nice to meet you🙏 . I am working (well, was working) as a tour guide and lived in Denpasar. Now I have moved to my home town in Negara, West Bali.
I'd love to meet up with other hiveans too. We (@ekavieka, @dede99 and me) were talking about meeting up, but then cancelled because of covid-19. Now that you are here in Bali, it's even better. The more the merrier 😁 . I think meeting up is a great idea after social distancing finish. 🙏 🙏

Oh great, another person. So, now we are 4! I would be super excited to meet all of you. Can't wait till Covid is over.

I'm in Ubud. My and my partner (she's from Malang) often go to Denpasar because they have a cinema there 🤣

What kind of tours did you do? Did you make a Hive post about your tours?

I did the regular sight seeing tours, but not anymore. I did make posts about it. Long time ago.😉 😁
