@ned On Bloomberg: He Is Out There Promoting!!!

This is the first time I saw @ned on a major media site. Bloomberg is one of the top financial and business networks. Over the last few months, they were one of the outlets leading the way in the spreading of FUD.

To see @ned on there is a major bonus. This is after he made an appearance in Korea last week. If my understanding is correct, he will also be in NYC next week for a conference that he was invited to speak at.

What is the reason for the sudden publicity? Is this just coincidence?

We will have to wait and see.

Here is the interview.

Great for Steemit, we need good marketing like that.

I’m really hoping with all the publicly they have been going out and getting along with attempts to be listed on different exchanges that this is some insight we are nearing seeming big to come down the pipeline.

Been interesting all the little changes in the UI here or there as well. Like there developer teams have been freed up to start working on other things.

If nothing else I just hope this is a bit of a jab at facebook. Would love to see how much of there market share changes and where those people choose to go.

All valid points @enjar.

It could all be purely coincidental but it seems like there could be a plan being implemented.

Yes I didnt focus upon it but you are right...there have been some small changes to the UI, some of which we know tie into the new updates (such as the change in self voting/curation time).

I wonder if they will just hold it all back and do one big overall over the course of a few days or if it will be piece mail.

Short of SMT and the next hardfork I think smaller stuff will keep coming out in little bits. I think you would also want your leadership all back at hq for any big roll outs. Would be nice to see some further commutation on little changes unless I’m just missing some kind of announcement posts. Everyone just seems to run into something new and interact with it that way. It still is a “beta” after all so I could see them wanting to test things in smaller chunks. Some interesting times to come at the very least.

Ideal timing in any event given the recent scrutiny FB has been under...hopefully this helps Steem to accelerate signups and user engagement

FB is really trying to repair their reputation as seen in the ads they've been running during the NBA playoffs.

Very true.

The one concern I have is that the sign up process seems rather slow. An appearance an a network like that could drive a ton of traffic....sadly, it seems there are only a few hundred sign ups each day.

Perhaps there is something about to be released and he is doing a tour to get some excitement going.

@taskmaster4450 It is good news; probably very good for steem and steemians. I am waiting the grows up strongly.
Thanks for your open sense and share in this post.

Your voting record isn't very good news, now is it?

LOLZ

Great news, thanks a lot for sharing this juicy information with us all here on Steemit.com

Bloomberg is HUGE, the Korean market monumentally active and growing while NYC is on the verge of exploding...

Awesome! Go for it @ned!!! All for one and one for all! Namaste :)

Good interview and good introduction to smart media tokens!

Probably the first steps on a campaign to promote Steem and Smts.

Maybe development is wrapping up and they are ready to start up some official marketing.

That is my thinking too....getting @ned out there to drum up some publicity just before it all launches.

Or is that wishful thinking?

I don't believe it's wishful thinking. The Steem rivalry with EOS demands that we release SMTs before the EOS launch on July 1. Also, I felt like it was possible that Dmania shutting down was a sign that @ned had more time on his hands and perhaps is attempting to clean up Steem by cutting the fat from his delegations. These promotions he is doing are an even bigger sign that the hard fork is coming soon™.

Something must be coming, why would he go to korea to promote and then appear on tv?

Unless he wanted to take a vacation to Korea something must be cooking lol or we are just wishful thinking and setting ourselves up for disappointment.... I prefer the former 🐸🐸

It is almost best time here, so I will agree with you and go with the former so I sleep well.

Positive from the interview, it keeps getting better in this space, I am so glad to be part of the crypto era.
Thanks for sharing !

I am so glad to be part of the crypto era.

I second this notion.

The only thing I would add is that I am glad to be a part of it so early....being an early adopter is really exciting.

Absolutely!

i'm giving ned the cred, he's been out hitting the street... getting some press

Wow!
This might be a blessing in disguise.

I thought his interview went well. I'm surprised the price of steem is down today.

Steemit mooning soon then ! smelling good sign

Its a nic post sir..I aslo agree with u bloomberg is one of top financial and bussiness networks.i hope it will rising soon.😃
Thnxxx fr sharing sir.👌

Ned is really committed to bringing people onboard this great platform. I'm happy to see that. We need more people promoting steemit.

Hope all of these are good signs for Steemit to become more popular and spreaded all around the world...
Really sure that Steemit has a bright future...❤

That was a great interview explaining Steemit.
Great explanation on the hard question about quality content!

LOL yes he did handle that one well. He was almost political about it...didnt get flustered, answered the question, owned up to it but didnt own up to it.

He held his own on a major television network.

Maybe a good time, I hear FB want to charge money in the near future if you don't want to see any ads. If that is true and people have to pay a lot will leave FB for good and look for alternatives.

Good work buddy

good information, up steemit

I hate to say it, but it could be that he's feeling the heat from ONO or EOS...

Or a combination of issues resulting in a delayed focus.

I'm just glad he's working on Steemit's image. I want this place/blockchain to succeed!

Great for us, we need to good marketing strageries

Nice intruduction.......

Thank you for information. I resteemed. this article.

Bloomberg has previously covered Steemit already.

While it is easy to throw them in the “leading the FUD bucket”, Bloomberg has also contributed lots of coverage on blockchains and cryptoes in last 18 months. That much even that there is no doubt that lots of old money is interested to move into a regularised sector as soon as possible. They have dutifully covered the Jamie Dixons of this world but nevertheless also continued to non-stop cover blockchains and cryptoes. IMHO they have been one of the most valuable MSM outlets for the crypto scene in recent years, better than Forbes even.

In the Bloomberg interview the first question assumed that content on Steem had not been all that great. Ned tacitly admitted that the premise of the question had been true. I think an important point the interviewer was ignorant of and Ned did not address in the short amount of time he had to answer the question was that not only is Steem a platform for"quality content" but that it is also a social media. Does Facebook have "quality content"? Steem has communities of users, ordinary people who use it like they would use any social media.

I think he's been on MSM before but not in a live interview.

Thanks, I send this video link to some of my friends

is ned the face of steemit? lol ;)

Yea, this was a great share. It is amazing to see how far the Steem blockchain has come in such a short time. Now that there are almost 1 million users and the public is starting to catch wind of it, the blockchain is about to explode!
