From what i heard, see and observed, lots of people believed that love is the key to a lasting marriage, whereas that isn't the truth.
Love without proper understanding will only amount to nothing and separation. Where there is good understanding there is good relationship with one another. You don't have to love your friend for your friendship to move on. Once you understand him, his/her behavior, you won't get angry unnecessary, this usually takes friendship further.
Using a very good example as an illustration, during the past generations in my tribe and most tribes in Nigeria. Women are usually married out to men, some women are even married since the time they were given birth to.
The most surprising thing about all this arrangements is that they last longer than this so called new generation where divorce is the key to every argument.
Even though they are married to each other, might not even know each other, because of proper understanding, they were able to condole one another and live together.
