CROSSROADS

The concept of life itself is almost amazing. you see life revolves around one thing, which is life itself. We humans like to believe that the only constant thing in life is change. But that all depends on how we see it now doesn't it?
what if I told you I didn't believe in change?
How absurd does that sound?
How weird does that make me?
But there is one thing however I do believe in, and that is before change, we are burdened with the task of decision making.

How I see it, is the most constant yet underrated part of the mystery that is life itself.
The truth is, for as long as you breath, there's always a decision to make. And the whole point of making a decision, is that there's more than one option.
There always is, but then we say we didn't have a choice because most times one option feels more demanding, sane and logical than the rest.
Thus we are faced with the problem of decision making. I could have named this post "HOW TO MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION " and then gone on and on about the perfect strategy and things to consider when it comes to decision making...
But in truth?
I'd be totally lying if I did that.
THERE IS NO RIGHT WAY TO MAKE A DECISION, ladies and gentlemen.
There is no trick, there is no strategy and above all, there is no avoiding crossroads.
The best decision you'd ever make is usually based on the situation you find yourself .
Let's take this two fictional scenarios for example;
I wake up one morning and find a pink rash under my neck, at first I am alarmed. And then I decide to watch it rather than freak out. The next morning I apply some cream I got from a drug store and voila! it starts to fade out.
This could be considered as good decision making on my part yeah?

Two weeks later my sister wakes up with a pink rash, and then I tell her to watch it for a day or two before applying the cream. Just like I did.
But then it got worse the next day and applying the same cream that had worked on mine only made it swell.
So would you then tag this as bad decision making?
The problem is she made what she felt was the right decision based on my situation not hers!
Because as similar as it seems, we were in two completely different situations.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that at crossroads, rules don't apply. Because contrary to what we think, you are always the first person to be in your situation. No one, I repeat no one has ever been in your situation like you are, and neither will anyone ever.
Because believe it or not, you either have more, or less to lose if you take a wrong turn.

In conclusion, at crossroads, what is good for the goose is almost never good for the gander.
