What would you say if I told you that a great shark similar to the great white, with a length of 24-30 meters of prehistoric origin and that was believed to be extinct, still lives today? Well maybe you should not laugh at it. It is very possible that this marine monster still exists and there are still emerging evidence that could support this idea. To help you learn a little more about what this issue is about, let's focus a little on the existence of this type of giant shark that dominated the seas in the Cenozoic era (from the mid-Miocene to the end of the Pliocene).
The Megalodon or Megalodonte (Carcharodon megalodon or Carcharocles megalodon) is a species of giant shark whose existence was known until about the year 1667, when a naturist of Danish origin named Nicolas Steno, realized that the fossils found and considered as languages of dragons and extinct serpents, were really, the teeth of a great animal belonging to the family of sharks. Currently, science has allowed to know much more about this prehistoric sea monster in terms of its habits, size and shape. Its hunting behavior was similar to that of the current great white shark, except that its size was huge compared to the current white sharks, even measuring about 30 meters in length.
Megalodon. Proof That You Still Live. Photos and videos
Without a doubt, the Megalodon is an animal that would impress anyone. But the most impressive thing is the possibility that this giant marine hunter is still alive today. From photos to videos and even documentaries, this possibility is discussed.
For example, in this photo we can see the size of the creature that appears in this photo from the year 1942 on the coasts of South Africa where a submarine was able to capture a shark of gigantic dimensions. And another in the same place in 2013 where we can see a huge shark fin and it is appreciated that it is attacking a whale
