Hey guys, I decided to enter inside the castle "Tucherschloss" in Franconia. I recommend you to go inside to visit the treasure chamber in the castle. As soon as I see castles I usually want to go in to get more information about the history of it and want to see how it looks inside. Stone castles are cold very often and I had to put on warm clothes to survive in the inside :) The castle included several rooms, for example a treasure chamber, a living room, representation rooms on the second floor and a renaissance garden in front of the castle ( I already introduced the garden in one of my last post.) Today I want to present the treasure chamber of the castle! Follow me....
The entrance area
First at all I noticed the ribbed vault in the big hall. The room was formerly used for storage purposes. The stained glass in the window is very noticeable. The window was built in the Gothic style and represents the annunciation to Mary. This work was made by a very famous glass master painter (Veit Hirsvogel) in 1502. Nowadays the hall can also be rented for wedding ceremonies.
Treasure chamber
The treasuries contain elaborate pieces by Albrecht Dürer, Michael Wagemut and as well by a student of Albrecht Dürrer who was known as Hans Schäufelein. I saw also some commemorative plaques and significant church foundations.
I saw many elaborately made carpets in the treasure chamber

The owner of the castle was the Tucher family from Nuremberg
The Tucher Family has always been among the most important benefactors of Nuremberg in Franconia. Charitalbe and sacred deeds were rooted in the religious concern about ones own salvation but also in the desire to be remembered. The really managed it to be remembered also in 2018 and hopefully for ever! The castle was built between 1533 and 1544.
Evidence of the pious donations by the patricians are a myriad of works of art in churches and chapels in Nuremberg and also in the surrounding region. The coat of arms of the donators was the visible connection and obligation between the donator and the work of art. The Dr. - Lorenz - Tucher - Stiftung, founded in 1503, up to present provides considerable financial means for the maintenance and restoration of the monuments.
Since 2012 the Tuchersche Kulturstifung, a non-profit organistation, represents the cultural interests of the family. Following the family tradition, it converses and documents mementos of the past. An example of theses activities is the restoration of the famous "angelic Salutation" by Veit Stoss, which was donated to St Lorenz by Anton Tucher the second in 1517. Cultural activities are also supported and, with its own ventures, the foundation places great cultural emphasis on present day and future projects!

Wonderful picture, well done, my friend
A great place and history👍
Real good castle. I like the wall arts especially the one that seemed to be like an angel smashing a serpent.
One thing i dislike about these kinda paintings is the horrifying look it appears to be when touring in there a lone. Sometimes it seems you are being followed by someone you not seeing, lol!
I know the feel must be different over there.
