RE: Advice for a steemit newbie [BLOGGING ]

in #gettingstarted7 years ago

#1 rule: Interact with others! Comment on everything you upvote. Get to know others in the community. Upvote and re-steem every day! That builds relationships and grows followers. The more followers you have, the more home feeds your content will be in. If you do not interact you are relying solely on your content to be discovered in the new and hot feeds.

  1. Check out the hot and trending feeds. See what successful bloggers posts look like. I'd suggest following and checking out @soldier. Her posts really stand out and she has a huge following here.

  2. Do all formats: text, pics, gifs and videos. Even mix them all together in one post to make it more interesting.

  3. Tag appropriately. Consider creating your own tag like #steemitbjj to gain an audience. But, also, check out the most common tags with the highest payouts.

  4. Promote steemit! Put the steemit logo on your pics, and videos. Share your steemit posts to fb, twitter and other mainstream social media. Invite your friends and family and help them get started. One of the best ways to build a following that lead to more upvotes and interaction is to invite people you already know. Also, if you meet cool people here, don't be scared to cross promote and create content with others that you both share!

Good luck! Steem on
