Sorry to hear about Kitty Betty. She would have experienced a lot of trauma .. psychological, emotional and physical on all levels with the fall.
It was a blessing that you found her after the accident.
If she does decide to pass on then that in the wider sense is a healing for her and you will need to accept that.
She would then be free of pain and suffering.
The pin and plate in her soft immature limb would be painful. The vet has done their best but what is the prognosis.. what will the quality of life be for the growing kitten .
You are so right you need to kitten proof / cat proof your apartment, cats-kittens etc are very curious and like to explore.. You need to make sure that they are safe from risks actual or potential when you are not there . Indoor cats need stimulus in door cat grass, cat toys , play etc. you would know this.
Prayers would be of unconditional love for the kitten detached from outcome and see what unfolds.
Its kind of you to help the cats and make sure they have good veterinary care.
All the best with everything.
Thank you for caring. Yes we are aware of the needs of kitties and cats we have had a few, all rescues. While I agree that any end to suffering would be good, I want our Betty to be healthy again soon. She is coming home today, and we are hoping she will eat of her own free will, or there will be other issues.
Thank you for caring. The clinic is very modern and up to date in technology, and our vet is great. It was an outside surgeon for the job and it was a successful surgery, now Betty must eat of her own will.
