I think that there is no way that a person wouldn't try to do this anyway and it is a lot of fun. The market, and there are a ton of them throughout this country, is a great way to wander and choose what you want to eat.
it's dark because it is night
So, for people from certain countries, a nightly nigh market would be strange, or perhaps illegal. For people from other countries the reaction will be one of "of course we should go to the night market." 14 years ago i was part of the first group, now I am part of the second one.
These pics are shots from the Krabi Chao Fah night market and it takes place every night. It always has ever since I have lived here and I presume for quite some time before my arrival.
The Krabi Choa Fah market features a bunch for things that are foreigner friendly and most of the stalls down there have menus in English. When i checked tonight they had the following and this was 17-Dec-2018
*pad thai made fast and to order
*mussel omelets (which go great with pad thai)
*Isaan food
*fresh seafood paid for by the KG (cooked of course)
*Roti (thin Thai pancakes)
*fresh fruit shakes
*a-la-carte thai food focusing on chicken or pork
*various snacks and sweets
*ice cream stand
*a beef and pork BBQ to order by the piece place
*snack on a stick stand
This is an extremely common display throughout Thailand but for many visitors, it might seem quite unusual because selling food like this would not be allowed in our home countries. It is a lot of fun and really cheap to eat down here. I went to the last place and got some bacon wrapped mushrooms and 3 skewers of pork satay for 50B (around 1 and a half dollars.)
The Chao Fah Market is located in the center of Krabitown and is impossible to miss if you are staying there. If you are on the islands or staying in Ao Nang or other popular beach destinations nearby-(ish) you will likely not make it here. If you find yourself in Krabitown (Muang Krabi) then by all means... from 6pm until about midnight, every-night... this is a great place come come and eat on the cheap.
Okay, so I'm going to chime in here.. I will NOT ask you about how much the food cost, or if its okay quality to eat.. because I actually read the whole thing.. but I'll cut the others a break. Maybe it din't translate very well
;-P
Man oh man! I don't care that you have a crappy Samsung (although you've complained enough and I think its time for a new phone!) hehe.. That there food looks good! It's been my experience that if it looks sketchy.. it's probably awesome food. It's that S#%t they pull out of the back that makes me wonder. This looks like a good time. Humid but good.
GET A NEW PHONE!
;-) .. just messin
yep, do need that new phone don't I? The idea of having to transfer all of my 2FA is what keeps me from doing it. haha. Oooh i'm lazy for a guy that goes to the gym almost every day :P
Wonderful place they looks like give tasty food and health but im wonder whats the prices how much that cost is it expensive?
generally speaking, Markets are really inexpensive. you can easily get a meal for less than $2US and i had a bunch of things on a stick for just a bit over a dollar. Of course if alcohol is part of it things become more expensive pretty quickly. Generally, this market tends to be about 40% cheaper than most of the nearby restaurants and bars.
Ohh pic is nice even place is also look good but the quality of food is good here or totaly waste of money ?

Wow! You are just like one of the locals there! Very nice market with lots of good food at cheap prices. It’s nice to be able to see the vendors cooking food at the stalls, so customers know what they are getting! Freshly cooked food, made ready to eat right there! Simple and delicious!
