University of Ghana
Today I’d like us to take a look at one of campus’s places of worship. Ghanaians are quite religious and as such we don’t mess around with our religious obligations. The main religious groups on campus are the Islamic and Christian religions and the latter is also made up of various denominations. We’ll be looking at the Anglican church on campus where obviously Anglicans meet to worship. Meeting days for most churches on campus is on Sunday, though there are other days especially Wednesdays set aside for midweek service.
So we get to see the front view of the church, resplendent with lovely trees and flowers. It is located behind the college of basic and applied sciences of the University together with two other chuches; the Legon Interdenominational church and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church. These three are among the older more traditional denominations on campus.
Hurray its Ghana’s 60th independence day ceremony.
