I have been composing quite a bit lately. Not as much put down on paper, but on my walks through the wilderness areas of my property, improvised tunes seem to float out of my flutes and whistles for the birds to come sing along with. Every day I am seeing more juncos, and fewer finches and wrens. Winter is not far off... the ground is covered in thick gray frost now more mornings than I can count.
My cPVC flute I made (and chronicled here on Steemit) a bit over a year ago found its way out of storage this last week. I have been oogling the gorgeous designs on the Hall “crystal flutes” lately but didn’t want to spend the green to get one... Combine that with a hankering for an art project and my little celtic flute got a facelift. Three coats of midnight blue Krylon, silver sharpie for the floral motif (lifted from the Lady and the Unicorn tapestries from 1490), plus two coats of Krylon clear gloss. I am quite pleased!
