The folks at GitHub also have created a nifty text editor called Atom, which is fully integrated with GitHub. Atom goes beyond traditional text editors by letting you know what files have or have not been committed, what folders are being tracked by GitHub, and so on.
YouTube has tons of tutorials on both GitHub and Atom. Here's a great tutorial which gets you up and running with all the features of Atom.

Wow thanks for the playlist :) Anyway have you try programming on Vim before? If not then i highly recommended spending some spare time on it, really productive for me once I got comfortable with Vim after several months with mods.
Quite welcome! Yes I have used Vim, which is an excellent editor. I used it to program in Linux.
