Congrats! I am new to Steemit, so far I like it, it seems like Twitter, Reddit, and Facebook combined (and most other social networks). The nice bonus is you can get awarded for your participation. If they added some sort of private follow/friend list to this site and you could create posts only people on your private list could see there would be no need to use Facebook anymore...
