It had been decades since we'd left our version of "Noahs Ark" above the isolated ridge and I was amazed that it still managed to hover silently over the land. Of course the roof was caving in, and the ground supporting the house was now in critical decay, and all that remained of the once flourishing acre that had supported us was all but gone, but there it was, the place where I had lived as a lad for several years. From this simple kingdom of ours had we come, and now finally when the demands of creating a new world gave way, I returned, in part, to give thanks and to remember the genesis of our journey.
