@protegeaa, thanks for the opportunity to ask some questions.
How do you think the arrival of SMTs is going to affect the use of the central platform? Will fewer people be involved in publishing, upvoting, etc.?
What have you found to be the most enjoyable genre watch closely on steemit?
I know these don't apply to how steemit works per se, so I am okay with not being included in the contest.
If come up with any more, I'll comment again.

Can you fully explain curation rewards and self-voting?
i should note that a couple of examples to illustrate the point (even if the numbers aren't exactly right) would be key. i played around with it in a spreadsheet since square roots aren't intuitive for me, but i don't understand the first 30 mins penalty or what the deal is with self-voting
Another question: iirc inflation is capped around 10%? How exactly does that work given that it is given out to witnesses and through upvotes? I assume the upvotes are relatively deterministic (ie, my upvote is worth what it is worth). If every single Steem user upvoted as much as possible, how would inflation stay under 10%?
Thanks for the great questions Evan! I'll announce the winners Monday.

i have another question for you. At this link, @yabapmatt argued for always taking 50/50 Steem/SP for "flexibility." That makes sense to me, but if we were to take it to its logical conclusion, doesn't that mean you should always be powering down your SP? It seems like it is essentially the same decision. Or do you lose something when you power down your SP? (ie, you lose voting power on all of your SP immediately even though you only get 1/13th every week?). i could not find an answer to this in the whitepaper.
[The whitepaper did inform me the answer to part of my question directly above that you responded to. 10% goes to witnesses, 15 sp holders and the rest for rewards, but didn't answer the rest of the question]
My question is how can we add external revenue to the steem blockchain?
I think that we have a great project here with a lot of developments coming down the line. However, the real value of any company is it's earning power. For me SP are each of our stakes in the company. We are all investors in what we have here but to see real value for our stakes I believe we need an external source of revenue. What I would love to see when SMT's go live is an some sort of ad token. A token linked directly to ad revenue earned and distributed on a regular basis depending on your SP.
Who wouldn't want to hold massive amounts of STEEM if you were getting payed regular dividends from revenue generated by all the different functions of the blockchain.
Do you think that this is a possibly or if something like this can be added to the blockchain or if it even should be?
Thanks for the great question @niallon11! I'll announce the winners Monday.

Steem the currency or steem the site?
Currency- Can it run out of production?
Site- WhyTF, have there been no updates on the site. I, as a kindergartner could figure a few things out?
Upvoted and followed ;)
Is the steemit platform going to be more than blog posting on a blockchain?
Where can we see steemit platform evolving to over the next five years?
@protegeaa. As you know, Fridays are the coolest day of the week around here now that #fff exists. For over a week I have attempted to delegate SP to @foodfightfriday, I’ve even taken screen shots and had them on my phone trying to help me. I’ve used the ‘@‘ symbol, I’ve tried without, I just learned you were successful delegating SP.
I’ll attach both screen shots I’m getting and if you wouldn’t mind answering this question for me, I’d appreciate it and I’ll be able to delegate to a good cause. Thank you! Now what.in.the.heck?!?am.i.doing.wrong?
I've answered this before, actually. Have you checked out this post?

There is a video as well.
Let me know if you're still having problems. I can walk you through it.

Even better, thanks @prottegeaa. So does this mean I don’t get the Steem or what?! 👍🏿
Ask another question! 😉

Did it work?

I sure do appreciate the follow up @protegeaa. It was my own mistake, I wasn’t identifying the decimal, whoops! Thank you!! All figured out and delagated now though. See you in the kitchen tomorrow.
Sounds good. Glad you were able to figure it out, now hopefully others will join us in supporting the food fight!

This is a great idea and I have a question for you:
Today we see a Steemit were the articles can be read independently if the reader upvotes the post or not. Do you think that we will be able to see a Steemit where a reader must upvote the post (for example a minimum of 0.01$ or 100%) if he wants to read the article?
This is crazy to think for funny posts, but It could be possible for posts about marketing or crypto trading, for example.
Thank you man!

Will you talk about the steem inflation and printing rate? i would love to understand that more because its kind of confusing hahaha i got into a question about if steemit would be viable for a universal currency to theoretically replace USD, and both have "inflation" but from what i hear steemit prints about 50k use a day, and then inflation is supposed to go to 1% in 18 years? idk its confusing!
Thabks for the great question Joe! I'll announce the winners Monday.

Not all people have the time or interest to invest via content creation. What type of investment opportunities are there for people who just to purchase Steem and/or SBD?
Thanks for the great question Nate! I'll announce the winners Monday.
