Great write up and yes the ability to play whatever you want and trade currencies across games is the reason I developed Rising Star (shameless plug!).
I got hooked on Drug Wars early on and then my interest waned. Then dCity caught my attention and I have spent a lot of time playing that and the creator, @gerber, helped me get Rising Star off the ground. It's this kind of selflessness that makes blockchain development so amazing! Where else can you get free help from people who are just passionate about what they do and want to help others?
