I think you are right with your two important things. The third one is just corrupting the platform and making it a ponzi scheme. So no upvote for that!

I respect your opinion and tried to understand your point of view. So you order a coffee at Starbucks get a stampcard and a free coffee after 5 visits, that would be a ponzi scheme for you? In the same way i reward followers as an incentive to follow the blog. And i deliver that promise instantly, without the risk for anyone to loose anything. But feel free to explain in detaill what you meant.
To me the starbucksthing is different. For starbucks is a very bad company that doesn't pay fair tax, but that's another thing:)
If everyone would only produce posts like this one, this plattform would collapse in my opinion, beacuse steem would loose all it's value inflationary. It would attract users just for making some money out of (in fact) what? So your blog itself would not be the ponzi scheme but suddenly steem would be because there's then no real value in steem and after a short bubble where only a few investors make (admittedly) huge profits, it would turn into nothing. So therefore I agree with 1. and 2. but not with 3.
I agree on Starbucks, the coffee is mediocre either, but that was only ment as an example. I get what you are talking about, but i believe thats just a theorethical thought. I don't agree on the outcome. Its not something that is easy profitable. This post here 7$ came from randowhale, so just a couple of cents from the upvotes, because giveaways only attract newbies with a very small accountbalance. Its not a concept that works on its own, but can work if the blog itself has other valueable content. Thats at least what im hoping to see from guys participating. And i understand that people might not like it as a marketing aspect, cause it is actually buying attention instead of convincing with quality, so not contributing quality to steemit, but its also giving people exactly what they want. They might be more motivated with their steem in account, which helps the network in a different way. The more people would do giveaways though, the less effective a single one would be. Botaccounts would exploit guys offering them and there wouldnt be a lot value in even offering. So im quite convinced the "ROI" of "giveaways" would regulate itself.
Still it is an option for newbies to gain there first couple steem until they grow up, its not a get rich thing. Yes it might not be worth mentioned as an important value blogs should include, still im ok with offering it.
If it comes out like you suggest in the reply above, I can agree with it:) Thanks for your reply:)
