the bottleneck is network speed ofcourse, it sometimes takes over a minute to get a random number from anu

other than that its made to make as little calls as possible and gets stats and vars from already updated histories kept local

on the mechanics:

get votes from post , filter out promobots
check eligible voters (active feed = root_post no older than 6 days (keeps in mind the 12hour before cashout_time + 4x2.5 hours to cast them on the autovoter running on my babyserver)
pick one by one , get random number, most recent post first
check if resteemed if not check if voted on if not check (again) if not older than 6days
without too many technicals (its a sequential mess of code lol with more marked out than running but it goes)

as it goes , so the most recent post from a winner will get the vote, processing speed and automation, i dont want to spend more time on it than i have to so i can concentrate on something new

- there was a flaw where it used an unmodified script to find eligible which made it pick only accounts with active posts, which is not the intention, that is fixed now, every vote except promobots can get the payout

its now 100% rendered from script

so in total about a minute tops to get the posts ready ... compared to an hour or more manually sifting , id say thats a win

save you the details, the bottleneck is the numberpicking from anu but the "quantum number generator" makes it 100% fair . Im sorry i didnt notice sooner, but no one said anything either lol.
As it goes, what set out to be vault-accounts turned to something active, now gave me a fair share of linux xp, i think i'm almost level one hahah

basically all three root from the same script (i keep a whole structure of folders) which comes down to a pre-formatted text where all variables and includes are streamed/piped in and/or substituted with relevant content from relevant files and the value from the vars , its a LOT more than it looks like but its easy to adapt to whatever kind of recurring posts like this
