RE: Taking the Reins

I really like your motivations. Wish more people were like that. I am struggling myself but hope to get to a place where I can give back every day. It makes me feel good to help. It's fulfilling. It's actually selfish and I want to be able to help without those feelings at all attached and that is my goal.

I was brought up believing that each one of us has not only the capacity but the obligation to help those who need it.

Same here. Its a core belief of mine.

I totally understand how it feels selfish, however... so what? kinda. but seriously... feeling good isn't BAD, you know? I love to feel good. My feeling good doesn't take away from your feeling good. And if my feeling good is also helping other people, I can't think of anything better, really. :)

Yea, i think someones intention is the biggest test. I say the selfishness, though from a buddhist perspective. This is because my ultimate goal would be to do everything without the even thought of any gain on my part. I am a looonnnggg way from this but try to improve everyday. This is an extreme view though. I strive to get to your level. It is amazing to be able to help people and give back especially if you can make enough to live off of.
