RE: Take the Stress and Frustration out of Gift-Giving

in #giving3 years ago

ha! Brilliant ... I like to take notes too on my trusty phone, although perhaps not as organised as you make it hee hee. When it comes to my kids, the list can change...frequently... so I have to draw a line especially near Christmas etc and say to them...right, last chance boys, final lists are due in today and no changes thereafter as Santa is way too busy to have to keep having his elves change production schedule lols.

And this is the line in your post that was the key for me when it comes to buying for family and close friends:

I want to show them that I care and that I know them. I want them to actually like the gift. I want them to know that I know them beyond what is on the surface

It's all about the connection. The meeting of minds and hearts. And we shouldn't be overthinking it and making the process of gift-giving, which should be a joy, a bane instead. A little preparation goes a long way. I have to say, two posts in on your blog, and you are quite a joy to read 💖

Abolutely! It is all about showing the connection. I don't care much about the worth of the gift if the thought gives you something of value to you even though in the eyes of the world it may be worthless. I am glad you are enjoying it. I am posting food stuff and fitness stuffs too, but when I get a minute to sit down, I want to be able to post more things like that- things that I want my kids to know about someday that they can read at a later time in their lives and learn from mom. Now, if I could figure out the proper tags to go along with the posts. I am figuring it out slowly. :)
