The Global Blacklist API
The Global Blacklist API is a project I started three days after I got access to the Steem Cleaners blacklist. It has been running for almost two years and supports ten (10) community blacklists and all Steem Engine Tribes.
The Global Blacklist API is used by over 50% of Steem dApps in one way or another
The Global Blacklist API has been a free service I offer to provide a standard and easy to use interface to access multiple blacklists on the Steem blockchain. dApps and services can choose to subscribe to one or more of the available blacklists and use them to minimize abuse.
Currently, the Global Blacklist API supports the following blacklists:
- BuildAWhale
- SteemCleaners
- Redeemer
- MinnowBooster
- Actifit
- Yoodoo
- Smartsteem
- D-Tube
- Plenty of Phish
- Irredeemables
- All Steem Engine Tribes
What is Irredeemables?
The Irredeemables is a list maintained by Steemit Inc. that prevents accounts that violate the Terms of Service (TOS) from displaying on front-ends (like Steemit.com & Steempeak) that use Steemit Inc. nodes.
Accounts on this list will not show up on Steemit.com, Steempeak.com, or any other front-end that utilizes Steemit Inc. nodes. They also cannot hide other user's posts or comments with their downvotes.
SSL Support
The Global Blacklist API can now be accessed via SSL. You can access the blacklist with the endpoint https://blacklist.usesteem.com.

Bitcoin shoot up 3,000 usd. Steem barely moved 1 penny ..... Do you still think you are on the right track with your black list? You have me on your black list for a nothing steem related and I am sure I am not alone. Me-thinks you are just driving people away from the platform, who would otherwise invest into steem.
He's helping Steemit Inc achieve it's goal of rewards pool protection. If you don't like that you can now convert your Steem to another token. I'm converting to Leo and trying to use only Steemleo.com because I am not a fan of censorship and the rules on Steemit.com. To each their own though.
Yeah this guy is freaking me the hell out about all these black lists and stuff! I hate this shit! I am not a person to be blacklisting! All these rules and opinions are not what I signed up for with decentralized blogging in the beginning! This is not freedom! This is markymark's twisted delusion coming to fruition! It's totally lame! I will flag this post, hope you do too!
Creating hundreds of accounts and posting garbage and using bid bots to raise their rep is certainly Steem related.
So none of that is illegal. I can create as many accounts as I like. I used my own money to raise the account rep, that is also legal. Neither of those actions actions hurt steem in any way. If I had used free Stinc accounts then you would have a case. I even took the extra step to put in foreign language and in made up tags so people would not accidentally vote the posts up.
I will add the only thing you and Steem Cleaners (they got me for copy MY blog title) have done in my case is prevented me from investing and promoting Steem. From the looks of the price action it looks like that is a bad decision. Also how many others have you all driven away? ... the pond is getting awfully small atm
I have 1 account and I thought almost all of my 12,000 posts/comments were pretty decent but I'm still stuck on a blacklist or two. :(

C'mon man. What the hell do you think you are telling people when you put folks on blacklists for doing exactly the same thing you do? We do need a blacklist on Steem, but not one based on personal antipathy. Your bot affected people's rep. That's part of it's appeal. Your claim he posted 'garbage' may or may not be true. Lots of people bought votes for posts you would not have written.
From my perspective, you are condemning @dreamryder007 for being typical of your userbase. This is an example of exactly why not to blacklist someone IMHO. You seem to love censorship, which causes me cognitive dissonance because of your avatar.
You should pay @fulltimegeek 60 Steem. It's the right thing to do. You continually posture as purely driven by ethical considerations, but when you or your buddies do those same things, you brush off the charge as insignificant.

You are either lying when you say you provide the blacklist, or lying when you say you're not blacklisting the guy.

I provide the Blacklist API that supports 10 different community blacklists. I only provide one of those blacklists.
