I have found that Glocks are only good for one thing, Quick Draw Gun Fight. If that is the only reason you ever need a gun, that's fine. But if you need a General Purpose Firearm the Glock is dangerous and unsafe in my experience. In this Video you can see what I mean. I have had to use guns for self defense and it has never been against a human. It is considered extremely unsporting to wound an animal and not make sure it is dead. Here is where the problem is with Glocks.
The SAFETY is built into the TRIGGER. IF YOU PULL THE TRIGGER, THE GUN WILL GO OFF NO MATTER WHAT. As a result, you must make sure to hold your trigger finger out, like in the video. Problem with that is two fold, first if you stumble or lose your footing a natural reaction is to grab on, so you will likely squeeze the trigger. Second problem is, it is very uncomfortable to hold that position for long. So what happens is just what happened in the video, people act in an unethical way, by not confirming the animal is not suffering. You can't go into the bush looking for a wounded animal, without your gun at the ready. But it only takes a few steps on uneven ground to realize that, this is no place for a Glock.
