Resources or old texts of the bible that are very useful when researching

in #gnosis7 years ago

In a previous post that I made, I spoke about how the bible has been changed from the KJV to NIV. I posted a link to my article on a Face Book group and some one commented saying that the King James also has a lot of inaccuracies and that it has been changed it to make it more gratifying to royalty. I told him that I agree with this. Even though I do tend to prefer the kind James, it also has its problems and this is why when I research christian history, I tend to look at multiple sources. There are so many other documents in christianity than just the king james such as the Wycliff bible which was the first one to be fully translated to English or something known as the codex sinaiticus (oldest bible to ever be so far discovered that has a complete new testament). I would just like to share some of these older texts or tools to gather information (like E-Sword) because I believe they would be very useful to researchers. Also keep in mind that there were also gospels and texts that were removed from the bible and there is some useful information in these sources too (A place to read some of these non biblical christian writing would be www.earlychristianwritings.com. A website for the jewish text is www.earlyjewishwritings.com)
Below is a list of resources or old texts of the bible that are very useful when researching
