What to ban next?
For the first time in recorded history, the murder rate in London exceeded that of NYC. “How is that possible?” you ask. “Guns are banned in London.” Apparently, the culprit is knives. True to Leftist thinking, the solution is to ban knives, which the UK has pushed for some time. The UK prohibits most knife sales to those under 18, bans many knives and swords outright, and prohibits citizens from carrying any knife larger than 3-inches “without good reason.” Since that’s not working, perhaps they should also ban blunt objects, screwdrivers, hammers and fists, as all have been used in murders. The first recorded murder was that of Able, killed by his brother Cain. Interestingly, the Bible doesn’t tell us what weapon Cain used—because it doesn’t matter. Cain’s crime was prompted by his own hatred, jealously and anger. He didn’t need a Glock 9mm. Cain’s crime—and every other crime since—was driven by a depraved heart, not a particular weapon. The further society drifts from biblical truths, the faster society degenerates. Unless we begin teaching God’s rules to our youth earnestly and consistently, we will have to ban large rocks, as that might be what Cain used to kill his brother. See Genesis 4:8.
