Despite the references to stoner rock in Virgins, DFA 1979 does not cheat on its true character and continues to record raw, pulsing sound with deep bass, ominous riffs and rack-racking drums to keep pace. The Physical World is a potent act of a group that does not need rediscovery to make it captivating in less than three minutes
