What I remember from this book is the idea of the pro-sumer, which is exactly what society evolved into. In the past we were divided into consumers and producers - a small group producing and a large group consuming. In the realm of media this age of the pro-sumer has truly come to pass. Toffler also mentions the 'death of the generalist' (or polymath) as society requires more and more specialization. More and more I see Toffler's ideas come to pass. Thanks for the article!
