It seems that Deception is the weakest god right now so my idea is to get with cards like "Patient Pickpocket" or "Reconnaissance" additional cards from my opponent. Also I added more removals.
...but well, my first day was horrible. I only won 1 game. Because of api issues I don't know how many games I exactly played. Maybe I lost 7 games, maybe I lost 10 games... But in fact I crashed down to Solar Gold. I had a very bad drawing and also my opponents were just much better. (I will never play on Saturday evenings again...)
With lower ranked opponents I had a much better 2nd day. This is why I choosed a positive sounding headline for this post. :)
With the additional cards I had much more options to play. I commented last week, that I had sometimes issues with my hand. This week it wasn't an issue.
Against War I was able to get all these "give a creature +x/+x"-cards and use them wisely, against Magic I was able to blow away his creatures. I won also against Nature with their "Big Confused Slotmachine Beasts". It was a good feeling to beat some of my opponents with their own cards.
This was my deck this weekend:
In general I learned how important "The Hollow" is to deliver me new creatures. With "Ward" and "Order" its not easy to remove. You can get additional creatures with "Frontline", "Blitz" or "Hidden". It is also possible that you can get for example a 3rd or 4rd exemplar of an "Armor Lurker".
My favorite Card "Shade Walker" was this time only once in my deck but he didn't had much impact. I replaced him later with "Avatar of Deception". It's "Sleep"-effect was more helpful than a +1 on "Shade Walker" to keep board control (but "Avatar of Deception" is worth 10x more than a "Shade Walker") so I don't know if "Shade Walker" will come back soon with the current meta.
gudecks.com counted 18/25 Ranked Wins for me, the 19th win was my comeback to Mythic. With my bad Saturday my real finish could be 12/25, maybe 14/25 with Mythic as my starting Rank...
These are my 26 matchups counted by gudecks.com:
Nature 8 Win /3 Lost = 42,31%
War 5/2 = 26,92%
Magic 2/1 = 11,54%
Deception 2/0 = 7,69%
Death 2/0 = 7,69%
Light 0/1 = 3,85%
Average numbers of rounds: 9
I felt good against Nature and War and this is important when almost 70% of your games are against them.
Zombie Death and Light are very hard to beat with this deck, I remember that I lost 5 games on Saturday (3x Zombie Death and 2x Light). But to rate my odds against these 2 gods finally I have to play more against them.
I don't think that I will change much for next week.
What is your opinion? How can I beat zombies or Light? :)
