Hi friends,

Today we got a couple of good announcements from the GodsUnchained team. The news was just casually dropped in the discord channel and I took it as a mission to spread the word of the gods and let the world know that Gods Unchained is coming up with a new expansion pack - "Divine Order"

. The new set will contain over 190 new cards. This will add quite a few new game dynamics. In the new set we have things like "order", "frenzy", "armor", "blessed". I have no idea what any of this means, but I know one thing for sure that there will be additional changes to the god powers. These new in-battle features will add more complexity, probably unlimited strategies to play and enjoy the game. If you would like to see the full card set with all the stats >> Click Me <<

I know for me reading throw spread sheets is quite boring. And if you are like me you would like to see some artwork from the actual set. They have revealed few cards so far and keeping the rest of it secret but not for long. Here are some of the cards already posted on the official twitter page of God's Unchained:

If you guys want to see more of the artwork and more card reveals, you should jump on twitter and give them a follow. This way you can get all the updates, card reveals, news... and whatever else it's on there.

We still don't know what any of the new in-game dynamics mean or how they will affect the game. All the decks will have to be redone, new strategies will emerge, new players will join the mythic ranks. This is guaranteed.

If there is a one thing I learned for playing the game for over couple of years, is that it is constantly growing and evolving. It will never let you get too comfortable or leave you with the confidence that you know it all. With currently over 800 cards in total and the additional set of roughly 200 cards, the possible combinations of cards will be unlimited.

It wasn't too long ago when on the weekend ranked event there was only 200-300 of Us. And we all had doubt's in those times, but at this point screw all the naysayers. The game has been around for a good minute. Constant updates and features added, and they haven't stopped. The best way to see if something is working is to look at it's player base. This is us now (credit to cardsunchained.com for the chart):

The data doesn't lie, fresh from the blockchain network, right at your door step, or something like that. The player base is expanding and our family of mortals enjoying GU is growing bigger and stronger. Two months into TOTG (Trial Of The Gods Set) the game so player increase in multiples.

With a mobile version of the game slowly creeping it's way into reality, God's Unchained holds tremendous potential for growth and expansion over all mobile devices, which at this point is probably the biggest market you can get exposure too.

In a recent post on discord, Game Director - Chris Clay said: " I’ve now been at Immutable for a little over two years at this point. When I joined we were a ragtag group of just shy of 20 people. At this point 2 years on we’re around 140, with GU itself nearing 50 people working on the project."

They are constantly hiring and looking for talented people. In my mind I have 0 doubt, that God's Unchained is one of the rare gems you find only by lurking into groups like this one here. The game is not mainstream yet, not just yet, but you can feel the change coming in the air. Once this 3 year old baby starts walking, it won't be long before it starts running.

So back to the new set....

So what is a new set usually accompanied with? Marketing, more players, then more marketing and more players and more interest into the game.
Forge (minting cards a.k.a. NFT's) is still closed, but the rumors are that it will be working again before the end of October. Probably, before mobile app is ready. It just makes sense. All the other TCG's will have to either adapt or eat dust. The proposition of owning your in-game assets and being able to trade/sell them is a very lucrative one. A lot of people will join and honestly I wish we had games like this when I was a kid. Could, you even imagine playing video games and making money. That on it's own is at least as good as half an orgasm. Not gonna compare it to a full one, I just don't wanna go there.

I am sure the game will become more and more complex and exciting over time. If I have to compare the game client to something in my mind it works like this. It's like cooking a stew. You throw your potatoes in there, some water and some meat and you let it boil for a while, maybe drop some oil, but until you add the spices at the end it all tastes blend (was gonna say s##t in here, but let's keep it civil). And in my opinion this is what the dev team is doing right now, balancing, adjusting and adding the freaking spices until everyone is salivating and wants to try it. Anyways, I will end this here.

Almost forgot, the second announcement today is for the $IMX token white paper! They have a public sale date set up and if you don't know anything about the token or IMX, find out more >>HERE<< or >>HERE<<

I find this data strange for a blockchain game in which transactions were practically not recommended due to transaction fees on Ethereum. I have a Gods Unchained profile, from your post it looks like the game will have a new life. I'll be back to play a few games.

Since they started IMX, you pay transaction fees twice - once you deposit into L2 and once you cash out. I am not sure what the future holds, but all the genesis cards, etherbots and TOTG have been minted on layer2 network aka IMX... so trading cards is a breeze now. The market is not 100% complete and I think they are working on implementing Forge soon. This will give the game a boost and be a true P2E game. For now people have been stacking on flux and cards, so I am expecting as soon as forge opens to have a flood of core cards to the market. We will see. I think within the next year or so the player base will at least double if not triple. That's just a personal opinion. :)

thanks for your opinion, it's very interesting. I believe what you say can happen, but if a lot of time passes the gamers will choose other games.

You do make a point, but please keep in mind that the project is still in early development. Even if some people are tired of waiting and leave the game for something else that's not a problem. When you bet on good projects with a solid team, they deliver. And once they do they will promote the heck out of it. It's in their best interest to do so. New players will come.
