Hi Everyone,
about a month has passed since I wrote a post and a market update on GodsUnchained. After " Divine Order" set was announced there were few days where we could try and test the new cards for free and get a taste for what the game is ultimately evolving into.
There are 4 new game dynamics added and also the God Powers count has ]reduced from 4 to 3. God powers have been changed and have been into effect since the latest update which happened few days ago. The new set is not live yet, but with the latest update, whenever you have a creature that can delve, or you have a delve ability on your god (such as modifying your Deception god power with Deception, Unshrouded) you can delve creatures and spells from the new set.
There are couple of factors we should consider into the current market conditions:
First,
there is $IMX and $GODS airdrop coming soon. There is a possibility of the market pumping because of the airdrop and people trying to get as many free tokens as they can. Even if that is the case, I do not see the majority of players coming every weekend to play GU buying cards in order to get free tokens and then dump them back onto the market. Even if there are people like that out there, I don't think there is enough of them to create downward pressure for longer than a few days, until their inventory is bought out.
Second,
The player base is constantly and ever increasing. At the current stage of development we are averaging 11,000+ people on "Weekend Ranked" . I think a large majority of the people consistently joining the battlefield every weekend is coming to the realization that with the fixed supply of legendary cards, the prices will consistently go up for a while.
Third,
The release of the new set will most likely have a marketing campaign and with it - an influx of new players for the best TCG game in the world! Yes, I am talking about GU !!!
People will want to hold on to their collection do they can make competitive decks or sell at some point for a profit if they have multiples of certain cards, but these will get absorbed in the market quickly.
Overall with the release of the last set, we saw a player base increase of around 1100% or 11x. There were roughly 800-1,200 people on average playing weekend ranked. I do not see another 11x jump in the player base, but 3x or 300% player base increase is a conservative estimate on what is waiting for us in the not so distant future. Are you fellas ready for a 30k weekend ranked event? How about 100k? If you think the game is competitive, you haven't seen nothing yet.
The development is solid and going strong. We are expecting "Forge" to be integrated into Immutable, by the end of the year and functional.
Mobile is in the works as well and expected to be released early 2022.
Without too much more talking let's just compare market prices to some of the cards I discussed in my previous posts about 5 weeks ago.

These are the cards I picked as favorite from the TOTG set about 5 weeks ago. We can see that most of the cards are up 20%-100% on average with the exception of Pious Giant - 50% correction in price. I thought he was way overpriced for the time being, but in the long run Pious Giant will hold value. We can also see that Arkmonian Hydra went down in price as well with roughly 20%. Ghostly Chariot is about the same price at the moment. Everything else is up. Most of the TOTG legendary cards are up 50% or more in the past month. We can only speculate what another 5,000 player bump will do to the market, let alone consider doubling or tripling the player base. Exciting times coming ahead. The new season is very promising and with the new God Powers/ Game dynamics the game feels refreshed and full of possibilities.
