Now that I nailed that..the falling price has me concerned and excited. Wasn't it today the Bitcoin hard fork was supposed to happen? I haven't heard anything about that yet..I'm wondering if that's gonna come into play and effect the price of metals?
Yeah Ive just been cruising Steemit waiting for a buddy to pick me up. You guys will have the rest of the day to beat me as I will be AWOL haha. Cheers everyone..if you're bored drop by my blog @goldenarms 😊
I can see that I'll have to get up early, like really early to beat you G A! I have a slight timezone handicap on this competition! I'll have to try for the second prize, I usually comment on britcoins stuff so shouldn't be too hard to keep that up!
I'm only just dipping my toe into the gold market for the first time and don't really know anything beyond the reliable Sovereigns.. and of course to stay well away from ebay when it comes to buying gold, except through a solid dealer with a reputation at stake!
For UK stackers: where does everyone buy their gold and in what format?
@Britcoin. That would be great. I currently buy silver through a group once every two months, a humble amount, on the silver forum with Backyard Bullion's group order. He gets free shipping and then everyone only pays their local postage from him to us after he unboxes it.
Currently, we don't buy enough to reduce the buying price per ounce, but maybe that will change? Or maybe he will consider switching to SilvertoGo, who do offer a scaling system of ounce pricing for bigger orders of the same item.
You're a group buyer by trade, do you think there's much to be saved on metals the way there is on fuels? I would imagine margins are tighter in PMs.
Oh I don't think I don't think the price of gold is high. I am pretty bullish on gold right now. I just can't afford it because it usually cost a lot more. And if I buy small fractional gold then the premium would be too high so I stick with silver because it's affordable for my wallet.
2nd first today

We should all buy in a group if we do it will be cheaper, plus have something for you tomorrow might help
I'm in Canada so my options are limited. Put me down for a kilo tho and I'll pay u in 1004 installments 😝 or u can have my first child? Your choice

For buying soverigns single i find atkinsons are best but if you are buying a few HGM are very good
Thanks, madstacks. I will bear that in mind.

nice charts we need some to put chart for both UK and USA gold and silver prices
Man you guys are on the ball!
Gold will always hold its value just buy the dips
thats what I do and it will always hold its value
It would seem with all the uncertainty out there the price would be on the up :-/
the markets are just so rigged, they want us all to sell Fuckem I say
i wish i had the money to buy some gold! the prices are going crazy right now
Gold's been up on the world market tho. I still only buy silver because gold is a bit too much for me at this time.
I should take a look at historic charts. If you were to set an alert for when buying gold was comfortable to you, what spot price would that be at?

Whenever gold price below GBP950 it's definitely a sign to BUY!
Sov.
How about using the same amount every month to buy gold ? SOV.
