Precious Metals / Why Should I Buy? Silver and Gold / Go Steemit

in #gold7 years ago

So the question remains. Why Should You buy silver and Gold? I personally like Silver because its so cheap. Silver can only go up in value and its a tangible asset. Silver is also something you can give as gifts to children, relatives, or the neighbor down the street. Anyone that sees and holds a silver coin knows its special. The feel is different from any other coin, along with the look. No wonder the metal has been used as real money for the last 5,000 years. Its history tells us that it has real value. From the time of Abraham until today Silver has always had its place in history. I find it interesting that in the Hebrew Language SILVER is KESEF. Kesef in the Hebrew has a double meaning. It means Silver and Money. Isn't that eye opening. Even the language of old tells us that Silver is Money. SilverEssentials_SilverHistory.jpg

Gold on the other hand has always been the money of KINGS. Throughout times past Gold has had its top place in history. Look at all of the prized historical relics dug up and unearthed over the years. GOLD. When people see and hold GOLD they get a little loopy. Its a VERY special metal, and it is highly intrinsic. Abraham, Romans, Egyptians, Persians and the like all horded Gold. Even today we see that Countries around the World hoard Gold. Why is this? Because history tells us its important in society. Whoever owns the Gold owns the Road. goldcoins1.jpg

Today I find the importance of owning both gold and silver. If gold cannot be afforded then stick with silver. Both metals are only going to go up in value soon. Silver is a must have in order to buy and sell if the almighty U.S. dollar ever crashes and burns (according to history).

Silver, don't think about it, just go buy it. All of us will be shocked at the price of silver this fall and going into winter. The time is now.
Silver is currently $16.78 per one oz.
Gold is currently $1257.60 per one oz.

Sort:

Silver has so many uses besides being a henge beat so I would always keep buying silver.....If you can afford gold even better! I agree with @crowe and believe we are about to enter a bull market for precious metals.

Thanks. Just waiting patiently for the games to begin. Have a good one.

What price do you think gold can run up to? Im thinking $3,000 an ounce is fair price.

Yes, that sounds doable for sure.

Oh, silver means money too in Hebrew language. In fact it means money as well in Chinese. Gold and silver have been money throughout the whole human history and they will continue to do so, just have faith in it, I can sense another bull market coming very, very soon

In french as well. Argent means both silver and money.

I didn't know that about Chinese.
Very interesting.

Great Article, upvoted and resteemed!!

Thanks spicyer. I appreciate that.

I just bought two ounces of silver because I heard it is going to go up big time. Does anyone have any information about why silver is going to spike?

possible upcoming stock market crash/ dollar devaluation. Just google silver/gold spike 2017

Well maybe buying a couple more ounces of silver is not such a bad idea!

Great post thanks ;) The price of silver has dropped a lot since I last saw it about a month ago.

Silver continues to get bashed by paper contract selling pressure. This paper scheme will end one day soon and Silver will be off to the races. Thanks for the reply.

No worries! Hopefully ;) I better buy some silver soon :P

Great post. Silver is very cheap in my opinion so it is a good buy at this time. As most of us know, gold fell from the "sky" and isn't created on earth, so there is a finite amount of it. If you are able to afford gold, I would definitely buy it. There's a reason why so many countries are buying gold and silver at astronomical rates.

With the profits I make on cryptos I buy some silver bullion.

Load up now while it's cheap. The greatest potential investment in the history of mankind.

I do agree. Cheers.

I have to up-vote and Re-steem this because I want everyone to know, your in for the ride of your life, silver is so undervalued that when it goes up, you will be lucky even to get any.

Thank you much buster544. I do appreciate that.

nice news @crowe

Thanks. I appreciate that.

ok @crowe
follback upvote resteem i will follow back :)

I am following you back. Thanks. I appreciate it.

You are welcome broo @crowe

Wish I'd spent more time investing in crypto through the years than silver.

Yes, we would all be rich. I still have my preconceived notions about crypto though. Still a little uneasy about it all.

I've made more off of less in 2 months on ETH, than $1000's over the years on silver. Its shiny though, so it's got that going for it. 😜

The eth could still go to zero tomorrow. Don't get me wrong I'm all for it but its still a hell of a lot more risky then silver, even if you caught a good stride already and "cashed out".

Very good point indeed. I'm partial to my bullion.

Bullion is the ticket Crowe..
Researched tells me so..
I might buy silver, after I start making some profits from crypto..
I now waiting on my wire transfer..Then I'm good to go..
Thing is silver is gonna be a tad heavy though..

fantastic.

Congrats on that. sure wish I could see the future. I just always have looked at the past to see where things might be headed.

Me Too, If I'd placed 1/2 the amount in BTC as I did in Silver, I'd be a Billionaire! LOL

Ah, I'm dreaming right now.

LOL!
I started stacking Silver in '09, later in the year... Well, late Summer actually.
I know BTC started that year. I would have been a skeptic, but have the heart
of a gambler at times. I'd have "wasted" $100 on it, that was 1 million BTC, right?
:D I had $$$$$ oozing out of my pockets. Big Money Days!

I am making up for it NOW. Slamming as much as possible into cryptos....

Who would have known. Sounds like you are doing pretty good. Keep up the great work.

Great info, I buy Gold and Silver as a Hedge/Insurance for myself.

Great move. I like your title "kingdom ambassador".

Thanks, Also The Minister Of Finance!!

silver back up the tuck event! I think it's way undervalued, gold is under valued too but more so silver. Everybody that laughs at metals will be scrambling to get in last minute. I'm not rich so i just get a little of both at a time. It has been considered money for thousands of years. I trust it more than a system that has been around less than a 100 and known to crash and burn.

I so agree with your analysis.

You know, why NOT silver? It becomes dark because of corrosion. Gold doesn't.
Second thing, you can store much more money in gold per 1 gramm
That's why, only gold.
And don't forget, if you buy pure gold bullion, it is very soft. One scratch and bank might deny to accept it back. And you can sell it scratched only as jewelry scrap. So, be careful

Just looking at the price of silver relative to gold. Its around 73 oz of silver buys 1 oz gold. In time Silver will climb up the ladder. When silver is 20/30 oz to gold, then I'll trade for gold. Easy game plan. Thanks for the post.

Yes, gold is best choice.
Just buy it before august - my advice.
Gold price normally goes up in august - september

nice post very informative, big Gold and Silver fan also

think silver will be massive as the supply will be significintly reduced with Silvers use in high technology for its superior conductive properties and low cost
Also recent advances have made possible the construction of Superlens (diffraction free lens) made from Silver that will revolution optics in theory any Superlens can reach nanoscale!!!

Thanks for the video. Love this guy.

would love to have one of the doubloons you have on the photos there :)

haha. you and me both.

do you know where you can get something like that?

Probably some Roman Museum. ha. I have no idea.

I really would like to have one for historical reasons...i like history..

I like diversity. Investment is no different. Silver is probably my favorite precious metal since it is much more useful in day-to-day barter than gold if I ever need to use it directly as money. Crypto is only useful when trading with people already in the crypto world, although hopefully #Steemit and #Steem will help change that.

I agree on all counts. Thanks for the post. Have a great one.

I'm a big fan of both, but hear recently that gold is more abundant than we have been led to believe. I also understand silver will become more rare as little bits are used for electronics production and then tossed because the amounts are too small to be economically feasible to recover. Either way, it is a better option than holding onto dollars.

I've heard the same news. I'm just so surprised at how much silver is actually for sale on all of these online bullion dealers. More and more gold finds are coming to light every year. I personally would like to have gold due to its luster. My silver however... I will keep. Cheers.

Indeed. And I am happy to be able to obtain it at such bargain basement prices. Only wish I could get more!

Me too.

@crowe
Get all of them, especially the white metals.
Diversify.
Gold is ultimate wealth store.
Palladium and Platinum are under valued.
And Silver is undervalued and has greatest upside.
All of these storing wealth, quietly.
Add in the requisite paper wallets.
Collect change for base metal.
Hint: worldwide ZINC shortage.
A good day to you.
@demandpeace

Very good point. I thought about jumping into the zinc market.

@crowe
When we look back at this time, we are going to wonder.
Complete and Total 'Fake, Phoney and Fraud'* REALITY.

Remember, it all ADDS UP: Grams, 1/10, 1/4, 1/2 y 1/1 Oz...
And the future of silver is GOLDEN.
Precious/INDUSTRIAL Metals quietly continue to say GOOD BYE...
As THE WAR continues...

Prepare.
@demandpeace

Absolutely. People will be caught in the firestorm everywhere with no gold or silver to be had.

Gold value is at his werry top and it goes mutch higher and old gold is mutch expensive than the new ... silver is payable but for how long we must be fast 😉👍 good post 👊😎

Yes for sure. I appreciate the post spazzmm.

I went 2years ago to this jeweller to fix my watch, then he saw this ring I was wearing it was a old ring my father used to wear it , him give me almost 2000 euro for it because it was old gold and it was heavy .

I wish it was another $44.24 up in value. Thanks for the heads up screenname.

If you're buying gold and silver as an investment or to store your wealth always buy bars from a reputable dealer. I noticed you posting photographs of coins and I think coins are a bad idea if you don't know what you're doing because due to attempts at inflating currencies in the past they'll have a mixture of copper or some other metal in them which means they won't necessarily be worth much and you can't guarantee the price.

Mike Maloney did a very good video on this, if you do buy coins you need to make sure to buy certain brands or dates, you should also look for an assay stamp if you can, these are stamps of authenticity that have tested the purity of the metal and will have been through an assay office at some point so you'll know you're not being ripped off.

Excellent advice. Thanks for the post. upvoted and following.

Buy some crypto and HODL !

Still researching. In the mean time I am making steem for some time and effort. Thanks for the post.

Hey man great article. Upvoted and followed. Do you recommend coins or bars? Both? I'm new to precious metals , thanks!
