Hello all my Gold & Silver fans and to my friends in the #steemsilvergold community - oh, do I have some beautiful looking bullion to show off today!
It's been quite a while since I've made a posting on silver or gold and since then I've made some new additions to my collection. I figured it's time to show some off. As you can see, todays posting contains GOLD
In the past, I typically have been a collector of silver bullion, but lately, I have been on a gold kick. I'm liking these little 1 gram pieces if I can find them at a decent price, and as it turns out, my gold guy down the road has me covered at a touch over spot. I have been stopping in at least 1x a week to see if anything new comes in.
1 gram Gold Bullion
Hell Yeah - that's a 1gram gold maple leaf! I was pretty dang excited to get my hands on one of those. I wish he had some more as this is literally the only 1 I have come across and It's probably my favorite little coin. I would love to add some more to my collection but these 1 gram coins tend to hold a premium I'm not willing to pay for.
True to me not liking to pay premiums... Those 1g bars are pretty beat up, scratched, and bent... but... It's still pure gold! Well worth the price paid and it adds some character.
Speaking of character, that's exactly what I was looking for when I bought the 1915 Austria Gold Ducat restrike (right coin in following picture)
The Austria Ducat is a pretty fancy looking coin with a proof-like finish. It's a 22k purity and contains 0.1107 oz Gold.
I was facing this Ducat coin and a 1/10 oz eagle for the same price. So, It really didn't take much thought when I chose to take the additional 0.0107 oz as a bonus.
Plus, I wanted a bigger eagle coin anyways. As you can see by the 1/4 oz Gold eagle sitting next to the Ducat... It didn't take long before I made that purchase. The 1/4 gold eagle I just got today so I'm still fingering it in awe before it gets stuffed away in the collection. I'm still planning to add a full 1oz this year but I just can't seem to make that $1,300 investment in one transaction.
Anyways, those are my most recent buys. I'm happy to add these beautiful pieces of treasure into my stash of precious metals! - Thanks for checking out my posting, feel free to comment
Both coins I do like but never bought these two myself. There are so many nice gold coins and I am panda addicted.
I sure like those pandas also. I sold all my little panda coins last summer though when I ran into issues... now I'm slowly restocking.
I'll have to keep an eye out for some nice ones
Nice collection. I love how those 1 gram pieces look.
At first I wasn't a fan of little 1grams but they sure grow on ya.
Apparently, if the world goes to shit, those 1grams will become very liquid currency... lol, and they look pretty cool too
Doing it right buddy!!!
Gram by gram, before you know it, you start adding real security against the coming reset and default of all the worlds un-payable debt. Thanks for sharing.

Man great goldies dude. Jealous! 😀
Small gold fractionals are a great way to accumulate some weight. The ducats are spectacular, very thin but they make for a good looking coin. You'll get your oz soon enuff which is a major milestone in any stackers quest 👍😎
I love these 1g gold coins. About six days ago I wrote an article about my small gold collection. If you want to take a look: https://steemit.com/steemsilvergold/@ronaldoavelino/10-gold-in-fractions
