Featured: I mentioned a string of Austiran coins (silver) this time.

From the year 2008 - not circulated

A coin from Austria is usually a work of art. The face value is 1.5 Euros, interesting that this coin has never been worth only 1.5 euros in it's weight. Currently worth about 1221.00 in us dollars, made of .999 pure silver and in original packing tubes.

It features instruments on the front and the home of the Vienna Philharmonic, the Musikverein on the back, one of the three finest in the world.

These are obviously silver picking up blue reflections from my monitor. The color of the coins is the same, they look different because of the light source and angle of the lens (for relief).

They ware wonderful!

I usually take gold because it takes up less space but one silver coin may one day be traded for en entire week's worth of groceries. Good to have.

Silver is of various grades but is too hard to press into coins without adding some impurities. These are marked .999 or 99.99% pure, is worth $14.36 ea. by weight only.

I picked up about 60 of these and have the dealer keeping their eyes out for something similar. I will take deals like these all day long.

I don't usually buy silver because you must store kilos of it but when they com in such nice plastic tubes especially fit for keeping them pristine, who could resist?

I thank you for stopping by. Next post will be something of quite pure 24k Gold .9999 and worth as much as you have seen until now.

Stay with anything metal- better than just plain paper.

Cheers
