Fellow investors!
As you look to invest money in anything right now, you need to decide the reason for it, the budget and the level of risk you are willing to take and ROI.
So the reason for your investing has to be something like this. I want to buy a house so i can rent it or move into it and rent my current place, or you are renting now and want a place of your own. If you buy land or any type of real-estate you need to know what is the market price per sqft or sqm and try to figure out how much could it be worth in the future. Don't buy just for the sake of buying and you don't want to keep your money in a bank. I'm all for investing and understand that money kept in a bank is just a waste.
Also in real-estate purchases always negotiate hard you can make a bid 20-15% below asking price. Look for offers on properties put up for auction.
If you don't have the money for property than choose precious metals in times when economy is doing well, like now or in 2007. We are going to have a economical crash soon, so buying gold and silver is also a very good option. If you have the chance look into junior gold companies that have been around for a while. They will make a killing when the crash hits.
Buying art is tricky, you need to have a feeling for it, but buying old cars could be a good investment, rare cars with low supply will go up in value very fast, there have been older Porsche models that could be bought for around 10-12k usd and 5-6 years later they are valued at around 35k-ish. Not sure of the exact model but if you google this you will find interesting articles.
The thing to decide it's the budget. When you are investing in property ,or i should say when i'm investing in it i am willing to risk about 75-80% of my cash even more if the deal is too good to miss. You will have to run by the numbers and draw up all the possibilities, eliminate undesired things. Don't let yourself be pushed into any deal, it is an old trick when someone says that they have a lot of ppl want viewing the place and the offer is only available for 24 hours and so on. When you are spending 80% of your total cash then you need to make sure it is what you want.
Risk levels are or should be known by every investor. Properties are considered a low risk investment, stocks are average risk, starting your own business is in the higher risk category. Something similar is the crypto currency investments
ROI is up to everyone and your goals, but typical ROI for real estate is around 6-10% per year. I have multiple properties for rent and the average is around 8% and also the price that i payed for the property also went up about 40%. I negotiated and got the price i actually wanted so i was happy with that.
ROI on stocks should be above 10% per year
Crypto currency investments right now should be around 50% per day :), just kidding, but it could be accomplished a 100%per month.
Good luck out there.
