🇬🇧 Gold is one of the most seductive and rare elements of our planet, in the life of man has always symbolized power and wealth for thousands of years. Throughout history, all the great empires have been obsessed with gold, like the one stolen by the Nazis from the one secretly hidden in Fort Knox by the US Government. The ancient Egyptians considered it the breath of the gods, while the Inca considered it the sweat of the sun.

Throughout history, from the beginning of civilization to the present day, men have fought and shed their blood for gold, even today the main world powers aim to accumulate as much gold as possible. The location of gold reserves is considered a far more important and sensitive secret than that of nuclear weapons.
However, according to a document revealed by Wikileaks in February 2010, it was claimed that the American Government manipulated the value of gold, devaluing it to discourage its purchase by other countries, pushing them to invest in the main currency in the world, the US Dollars. With this move, the US Government tried to increase the dollar's power against developing countries, but when the Chinese Government became aware of this manipulation, it bought large amounts of gold and encouraged other countries to do too.

Some argue that the Great Powers are preparing for a future without traditional currency, in which the exchange value will return to gold. But considering that 75% of our planet's gold has already been extracted and possessed mostly by the Great World Powers, all this according to the most it is difficult to implement. According to scholars, governments do not believe in the use of gold as their own currency and do not want it to be used by the people, because this would make them lose political weight. This is because gold is no longer considered as money but more like the essence of money itself.
Today with the evolution of technology we live in a world where the currency is even digital, for us here on Steemit has now become an everyday life, but only a decade ago this was unimaginable. What I wonder, is it if the cryptocurrencies will really be able to supplant gold? The only currency that has retained its purchase value for thousands of years.
I hope you find this interesting, follow me for more posts. Thanks by @stea90.
After several millennia of blood, heart, lives and deliberation human kind choose the natural consequence of their history. We choose to consider gold as the mark and representation of value in this world and no matter how hard these sissy ass money grabbers insist otherwise, what has been established in our minds wouldn't change that easily.
It is not that we trust gold. In truth we trust gold as a measure of the wealth we earn.
So let us all join hands together and take a giant dump on this modern financial system by choosing to convert atleast some part of our wealth into it's original form
@stea90 loved the post, Thanks!
Thanks for your comment, done well and very logical! I share, because as I wrote, gold is considered to be the means to prove one's wealth, it has remained impressed in the human mind for thousands of years and as you say it will not change easily.
The pleasure is mine. Your post was a great read and you replying back makes it even better.
This issue is so simple and yet so complicated. For last hundred years the governments have actively tried to persuade masses to move away from gold. The people in power want us to measure wealth in a way that they see fit so they can easily mediate the distribution of wealth. This is the best case scenario and at it's worse, it is an outright subversion of basic human rights. For them the best way to do it is to change the very parameters of measurement of wealth.
An underlying theme in modern economics that everybody likes to gloss over is - Never in the history of mankind have we had such economic stability as we today. Then again never in the history of mankind the economic stability has been balanced on such a fragile fulcrum.
...................I can't help my rant.
Very true! This information adds value to the post! Thanks again for being passed.
I'm very indifferent to gold. My golden Italian chain, which was brought to me by my godmother from Italy, lies in the case as a memory of her. I prefer more digital currency))).
I too prefer digital money now, but it is good not to forget gold because if it has had value for 5000 years it will continue for a long time.
Precious metals and soon to be Crypto:
Backed by the beautiful metals!!
Thx for the post

Crypto: Let's go to work!
Oh yes! I have chosen a diversified investment. I believe that the 2 things can live together. Although in the long run gold will always dominate, but I mean between many years, now it's time for technology.
The more I research and read about the dollar, the less I want to hold them. It's really only been one generation since the US untied from gold, so compared to history, it's peanuts. Russia, China and our very own JPM are hoarding silver (and gold), obviously someone is anticipating a wealth transfer. Will be a shock to most Americans whenever that day comes.
It should have been around 70s right? Now that China is certainly the main economic power, I think that America will regret the choice one day. We'll see :).

gold doesnt lost it's charisma from the beginning. it is having same value.yeah I agree with you . gold will be given much importance one fine day again.it may become mode of huge transaction.
It will be back for sure as exchange currency, but for now let's enjoy the cryptocurrencies :).
Good gold picture, but I think that bitcoin is much better than gold anyway. By the way I've included you and your group in my last post, thanks for creating the group and taking care about the quality, check the post if you want, good luck. ☺
I'll look ok. However bitcoin still has a lot to prove, I am confident, but it is not enough.
