Gold/Silver/Crypto/Stocks/Cash...What is the best place to grow and protect your wealth? (part 2)

in #gold7 years ago (edited)

I love gold and silver bullion. I guess I must have some pirate gene in me somewhere. Something about the fact is has been considered money for thousands of years is very appealing to me. Precious metals have stood the test of time. Paper currencies and even entire civilizations have come and gone but gold is still considered money.

Gold and silver isn't really an investment. It's more of a way to store wealth in a portable and tangible way. My favorite way to keep it is collectible coins with high gold or silver content. Think a Saint Gaudens Gold Double Eagle coin. These coins are around 90% gold and fetch a premium because they are a collectible coin. They are no longer made and can be graded for greater value. You're getting two for one really with a gold and collectible holding all in one.

This is another class that really only needs a small percentage of your portfolio allocation. Think somewhere less than 5%

Look forward to hearing from investors on this. Please comment below.
