More Beara

Beara Bowl-1.jpgA different composition from the same location as one of my previous posts. This geological formation is known as the Beara Bowl. So named because it's on The Beara Peninsula and shaped like a bowl :) The Beara Peninsula is thought to be named after a Spanish princess, who, in an early century AD, married the then King of Ireland, Owen Mór. Some scholars refute this, however, instead suggesting that the word means "rocks on the seashore against which the sea breaks with great force." Either way, it's a stunning area.

Excellent shot! Love the sun and the curve that the rocks make! :)

Thanks, dude. It's a pity the waves wouldn't do much more for me, but I still like the shot. Nice Insta gallery btw!

The colors and that splash of light on the rocks are divine. Thank you for sharing.

Maybe the Spanish princess was a force to be reckoned with? ;)
