Hi there my Steemit friends and followers!
Today is Sunday and if you visit my blog regularly, you probably know what to expect from me on this day - yes, a sunset shot! :)
The #goldenhourphotography contest hosted by @juliank is one my favorite contest categories and I always try to come up with a nice soothing image filled with peace, quiet and harmony as I believe this is what sunsets are about :)

Today, I am submitting this shot I took in Venice, one of the most popular seaside neighborhoods of L.A., a couple of months ago. There were many photographers setting up their gear, waiting for the perfect shot on that evening and it actually took a bit of pacing around the beach to find a spot with no people but I think it was worth it.
When it comes to sunsets, I love when there are clouds around the sun as it is the clouds lit by the last sun rays of the day what creates the beautiful golden (sometimes red, orange or even purple) aura in the background. As you can see, the sunset over the Pacific Ocean in Venice on that evening was just like that. Yet another memorable scene conjured up by the Mother Nature :)

I love clouds in sunsets too @phortun. I prefer to experience them solo tough, without a bunch of other people gawking too.
