Golden Hour: magical sunset over Xlendi Bay on enchanting Maltese island of Gozo

Hi my Steemit friends!

Let me brighten up the last hours of your weekend with this beautiful sunset shot I took on the little Maltese island of Gozo back in 2014.

We lived in Marsalforno, a picturesque coastal village located in the northern part of the island. Our apartment had a spectacular sea view and we got to see many breathtaking sunsets from our balcony, including this one. I just wish I had a better camera back then…

(Vidím, že dnešní golden hour photocontest je populární i v naší komunitě, tak u své fotky také přidávám český tag. Fotku jsem udělal prehistorickým neznačkovým mobilem čínské výroby, takže její kvalita je mizerná, ale že to byl tenkrát moc hezký západ sluníčka, je snad patrné i tak :) Lokalitou byl maltský ostrůvek Gozo, kde jsem tenkrát žil.)

Wow, great shot! So you were on Gozo in 2014 means that you're one of the lucky people who could see the Azure window before it collapsed, right? 😉

I remember that sunset well. We stayed in those apartment one Christmas. Gozo is one of my very favourite places to visit.

Yeah, same here :) So we might have actually met each other on Gozo back then, without even knowing that :)) I really enjoyed the relaxed pace and remoteness of this little island, beautiful memories...
