I upvoted this comment because it was downvoted, yet I feel it was a legitimate question.

As @ats-david said, this is a post designed to cater to sports fans who enjoy playing games based on forecasting the results of major sporting events.

The current user base of this platform is largely indifferent to sports, generally speaking. But literally millions of people enjoy playing games of this nature. The large stakeholders (whales) who want to support this sort of interactive content realize that there is a huge untapped market of sports fans who represent a major avenue for growth. We can grow the platform in a major way by reaching out to these folks and offering them something they can't get anywhere else.

There is literally nowhere else on the internet right now, where you can take a few minutes to pick the winners of sporting events and potentially win prizes without risking money.

I am somewhat sympathetic to your apprehension regarding a top trending piece about the price of bitcoin. Very few people outside of crypto have any interest in the price of bitcoin. But there are a lot of "average joes" who might want to guess who wins, in order to potentially win a few bucks.

Given the current state of the platform, with declining prices and a dwindling user base, I think attempts to branch out and appeal to the masses may just be the most effective strategy.
