Golfers of Hive, lend me your tips

in #golflast month

I recently had some back issues and realized I need to pick up an old hobby to keep active. I picked golf because it will get me outside more and also drive me to strengthen my back muscles to get more distance. I havent played since HS (over a decade ago) so id love any tips or recommendations yall could give.

Ive already started buying clubs and I decided to fill my bag with mostly things I used to use since that gear is super cheap. I started with some Callaway X14 irons 3-PW ($100), Callaway X woods 3&5 ($17), Titleist Vokey Sand 54 ($16) and Lob wedges 60 ($15), and an Odyssey blade putter ($32)

I still need to buy a Driver and I might swap out the 3 iron with a 7 wood.

I wasnt exactly a great golfer in HS. I literally did it for the extra day off every week but ended up finding it relaxing. Ive never broken 90 so I guess thats the first goal.

Anyway thanks for your time <3

PS Gooooo Splinterlands :)

PSS I have a tip for any golf lover in return, The Masters Youtube page has all the final rounds going back decades all Ad free... that means 3-5 hours of golf with no commercials. It makes great background noise if you arent in the mood for music.
