The Blockchain State Part 1

in #goodness7 years ago (edited)

Could we transition in to a healthier way to organize our selves as humans past the nation state, the corporate state and enter the Blockchain State?

The objective of this piece is to inspire a thought process where we can leverage the benefits of blockchain to unlock units of value to any human that is willing to exert effort for a positive outcome. For example, instead of creating fallible unions whether economic, geographic, political or religious. What if we could harness the power of human efforts to create value and/or do something good for another human being?

Let's start off by a simple scenario. Farmer in Africa need to purchase basic supplies to plant/cultivate his farm. Farmer posts request on an ethereum like platform, Retired school teacher in Scandinavia transfers 5 units of an ether like unit of value. That helps commence the process. As a result, the school teacher has earned goodness units, for transferring to our farmer in Africa. The school teacher can opt to recoup his original units of etherlike value plus an agreed upon reasonable profit, or simply pass on the good. Our farmer in Africa would intern be obliged to exert effort to offset the goodness units to someone in his network, for the original goodness units from our teacher in Scandinavia.

The above example deals with a monetary system of currency based on a duality of hard units that can be exchanged for hard goods along side a goodness units that require human efforts with positive outcomes that are limited to simple gestures of kindness. By the same token the system could be expanded to include a hierarchy of tasks with appropriate units of value awarded.

Caring for your neighbor while they are not well should be able to account for something that you can pay forward and uplift a whole community. Why couldn't we create value for ourselves by our actions in helping other humans and transacting commerce without the complexity of an us versus them mentality?

If you are able to save money for your employer or increase efficiency that is measured, shouldn't you be able to increase your earnings potential? With my idea of the duality platform of value, we have the ability to gauge and reward human effort, instead of current systems.

The underlining theme is that if you can't solve large problems, why not tackle smaller ones that improve and empower humans to exert efforts in doing good things?
